During this summer, so far I have seen way too many people catch colds. Not just the little sneezy, runny-nose kind, but the nasty viral, congestive, feverish type that leaves you down for the count. Luckily, it has not gotten to me, so far—it must be because during this past winter I caught three horrible colds when I normally only have one cold a year—but it has sure affected my family and many loved ones. I decided to dig through some old research, mix it with newer findings, and came up with what I’m calling a “Cold-Expelling Potion.” Now, more accurately, it should be called “Sickness-Expelling” because these ingredients combined, besides helping heal the mucous membranes of your nasal passages, will also: alkalize your blood, lower blood sugar levels, boost your immune, fight inflammation, and improve your metabolism. In truth, this little potion should be consumed everyday, and ideally, first thing in the morning. “Why?” Because during sleep your body prepares itself for receiving nutrients upon awakening. All systems are ready to go and face the day. This drink will provide a lot of the necessary nutrients your cells are expecting, and will also help absorb and process the nutrients from a healthy breakfast. You can see my Morning Fiber Shake as an example. Now, of course, if you are making this for a family member you love, please remember to always add love. Healing will not occur when the atmosphere is toxic.
Ingredients:
1 lime
1 piece of ginger (equivalent to 2 or 3 cloves of garlic)
2 tbs. Apple Cider Vinegar
1 or 2 tbs. Maple Syrup Grade B (depending on taste)
2 tsp. Turmeric
1/2 to 1 tsp. Cayenne (depending on how much spiciness you can handle)
20 oz. of filtered water
1 pinch of Celtic salt (optional)
Directions:
Cut the lime in half. Using a lime press, squeeze the lime into a 32 oz. Mason (Ball) or Kerr jar (I have several of these jars because they come in handy for a variety of purposes). Next, peel the ginger and cut it into two or three garlic clove size pieces. One by one, place each piece in a garlic press and squish the juice, as well as the pressed ginger into the jar. Add the apple cider vinegar, the maple syrup, the turmeric, the cayenne pepper, and the celtic salt. Fill the jar with filtered water, cover it with the lid and shake it. Pour 1/2 of it in a glass and save the other half for later in the day.
If you are working with someone to help him or her fight a cold, drinking this potion twice a day will be extremely effective.
To health and to life!

First of all I would like to say superb blog! I had

like the first 10 to 15 minutes tend to be lost just
